Today’s society is overly positive and afraid of what they deem “negative”, so it creates an inferno of monotony and depression because people refuse to accept things outside the bounds of the Self. By viewing the Other through the lens of the Self there can be no progress.
Difference produces meaning, but in an inferno of the same difference is avoided at all costs.
