Read the first chapter of this book in a used bookstore as my partner and I waited for a brunch seat next door and was hooked.
- (6) This book is really interesting to me. I am lucky to have grown up in a middle-class family, so this is a completely different type of life that I'd like to live through this novel. I've definitely crossed paths with people who've lived these lives before — truly parallel lives, with no point of intersection but a glance across the train tracks.
